Dear Mr. Orange, I just found your game on Steam and saw that I could not purchase it in Germany. I then found your Itch.io page and saw that you could supply me with a steam key if I buy it on here.
So I tried that and added the Game.exe to Steam as a Steam foreign game but the game does not start, but what worked is that I loaded the game on the PC as a Steam foreign game and can now stream it via the Steam Deck . but that's not what i want.

It just drops to about 5-15 fps each time I'm in the past timeline of that location, making it feel like a nearly unplayable slideshow. Sme thing happened in the Void, too. Ugh.
I would appreciate it if that frame rate problem on the Steam Deck is fixed.
The performance of the Linux version fluctuates from okay-ish to unplayable to literally not starting and back, even on Threadripper setup with 64gigs of RAM. So I would say this is not a Steam Deck issue.
I effectively just gave up. But if you find a way I would be interested too. Did you try running the windows version via Proton?

how can i play the game on my steam deck without having it on steam? I used it in desktop mode but it doesn't work. please Help !

and what do you mean with proton ?
Proton is a compatibility tool so you can play Windows games on Linux (SteamOS).
follow these steps:
1.) download the WIN-Version of Fear & Hunger
2.) go into Desktop mode on your Steam Deck
3.) open the Discover store
4.) search for "Proton" and install "ProtonUp-Qt"
5.) open "ProtonUp-Qt"
6.) click "Add version" and install the latest GE-Proton
7.) now add the "Game.exe" of Fear & Hunger to Steam ("add non steam game")
8.) after you've added the Game.exe to Steam, open Steam and go into the properties of the game
9.) go to "Compatability", allow "Force the use of specific Steam Play compatibility tool" and choose the "GE-Proton" that you have installed earlier
10.) go back and start the game
11.) have fun

Hello! I am playing via MacOs and for some reason i cant save any of my games at all, not even with the book of enlightment.

no, i still cant save any game progress, so im basically stuck playing hardcore all the time.
+ the settings still cause the game to crash so thats also something you shouldnt forget while in a good run…
