Termina is upon us, and I love it. Playing with every character is an unique experience, and all of the different ways the story can go is interesting. Also thanks for the Easy(er) mode to give beginners a chance to get used to the game. Only complaint would be a few glitches here and there, but overall this is a solid 8/10 for me.
As a german I can say no... its not necessary... don't know why people want the game that bad on steam. Maybe they preffer to just have a license instead of owning the game DRM free they bought. I really don't know. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Lots of people prefer to have all their games on one account/storefront/library. It has nothing to do with "these Germans", it's a pretty common sentiment among Steam users in general and there's nothing wrong with that.

... If you want to play with a controller (which I'd highly recommend) + customize the buttons for quick access to the Map, Olivia's Wheelchair, "Engarde" skill etc... You can still purchase the game from here then add the game to your Steam Library... then create your own custom controller layout or apply the preset one I uploaded to the community for everyone to use.
So hi, ist there a not to complicated way for me to play the non Steam version of Termina on a Steam Deck?
Because i'm one of the sad human beings known as germans and don't have access to the steam version and from what I can tell, getting a key won't happen that easily. My issue is specifically the Steam Deck, I don't have any problems with running the non steam version on my PC.
hi! i run both games on the steamdeck w/o issues. desktop mode -> what you want to do is to download the game through the browser and not the itchio app on the steamdeck. this is bc you want to dl the windows version and not the linux version. add the .exe as a non steam game to steam. game mode -> go to settings, compability and select proton. i find that using proton 7.X works best for me. proton is necessary to run win games on the deck.
I didn't realized that having a controller functionality on an indie game was uncommon. While it is not exciting for many people I think it just shows how much care went into the developing of this game, many other games don't even have this function. I bought these on steam, but if you are able to handle the stuff in the warnings then play the heck out of both f&h games. The way he tells the story through a mix of just going through the game and exploration is so good. It makes me want to check every nook and cranny. Also the difficulty only adds to the fun in my opinion. Lastly This one has Levi so that should be convincing enough tbh.

well the starting problem can easily be solved by linking the exe to steam. and download speed doesn't really matter, as this game never gets small updates that would benefit from the extra download speed

Presto, you now have pretty much all the benefits of the steam version. That simple.
You are missing the point. Its not about being able to launch the game from steam. Its about legally owning it on the platform of your choice, which for most germans seems to be Steam but you just cannot buy it in germany on Steam.

Porting kit works for me (for getting it set up on Mac since I doubt he's gonna add a Mac port)
The steps: Go to the site (first link under sponsored pics), go to download, download the zip file, unzip it, open it up, if it asks you about if you really wanna open it just let it open, go through the steps to get it set up that the app makes you go through and make sure to allow it to access where the game.exe file for Termina is and that the file is unzipped, go to installed under apps, add application, go to the game.exe file and open it up, don't change anything that the app has when going through the steps, wait (it takes a bit), and bam, the game is open
If it crashes without a file set up (you need to close it to get a file set up), then go through the steps from installed to the end and make sure to get your file set up
Zip file on the website when it prompts me to .dmg or .zip

Also, you'll likely need a Book of Enlightenment for unexpected crashes, and the one that works for me is one I found from guides (I tried the mod TheDarkRacoon had, but it didn't work), and you can use it if your computer gets a bit hot and seems to be ready to crash
Sadly, there's no fix currently that makes no crashes happen, but to make them less frequently, you can close most applications and it'll crash WAY less often in my experience

Edit: The premonition mod works too, but there is bugs
did you have issues with the process getting stuck on wrapper configuration? mine keeps freezing on that screen. I'm updating to Sonoma 14.2.1 now to see if it helps.
It's really just the germans spamming the comments for steam keys to a point where miro doesn't even wanna look in here which sucks because its another place you cant communicate with the dev..

You have to be logged into Steam to view either because Termina is marked as an adult game (And you gotta confirm you're an adult)

If it's still processing but it didn't launch a game, try to redo it and it might work then
